Jake & Emily's stunning Port Douglas Destination Wedding

It's always a bit surreal when I get to photograph the wedding of someone who I've known since they were born, but this one was pretty special. Jakey is one of my best friends sons. He grew up with my daughter, we've spent many family holidays together and I've seen him grow up, meet the love of his life and become a dad. So getting to photograph his and Em's wedding was an absolute privilege.

Port Douglas was chosen for many reasons including the great weather and stunning beaches, but it also has a very close personal connection for Emily's family and beautiful memories of her recently passed dad.

Everyone who is close to this couple and their families made the trip to celebrate their day and make it a week long event. The party vibe was definitely completed with a stunning reception at Salsa Bar where the cocktails flowed and the food was just incredible.
